This Finance sector company offers a range of services including fund management and Venture Capital and have c£2bn under management. They are successful and growing fast leading them to require a CIO to maximise the effective use of IT and information across the businesses.
Responsibilities

Work with the senior leadership team to ensure the businesses needs are understood and translated into a well communicated and practical IT strategy

Create a medium term strategy to ensure IT delivers effectively against the overall business plan
-
Build and manage strong relationships with key business stakeholders
-
Lead and manage an IT group that includes analysts, developers and support staff ensuring day to day reliability and service delivery

Negotiate with and manage supplier relationships
-
Manage the IT budget
-
Be close to key decisions regarding architecture and technology selection and hands-on in leading strategic programmes.
Candidate Profile

Very strong stakeholder management skills

Held responsibility for strategy development and IT operational delivery

Strong people management skills
-
Highly educated with a degree or better from a leading academic institution

Previous experience of managing an IT operation within the Finance industry

Strong Finance Industry business knowledge and able to understand finance processes and regulatory requirements

Must have experience of managing IT development, business analysis, project delivery and BAU activities
-
Good commercial understanding with proven skills at negotiating and managing outsourced agreements
-
The role would be particularly suitable for a fast track candidate who has ambitions to take the next step up in their career

The successful candidate will have a very professional and polished manner combined with exceptional communication and leadership skills
You must be a UK / EU National or already be resident in the UK with a current Work Permit.
