This FTSE 50 Company is investing heavily in new IT capabilities and is launching a number of large-scale initiatives that will transform how they interact with their customers.
The role will involve programme managing a number of related and interconnected projects delivering enhanced online customer interaction, CRM, loyalty programmes, account management etc. The multi-million pound projects are a mix of technology delivery and business change.
The successful candidate will have exceptional stakeholder management skills and have a track record of delivering high value, high profile complex web based programmes within an end-user environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work with senior stakeholders negotiating consensus on differing needs, priorities and timeframes.
- Build a strong understanding of the business drivers, domain knowledge and likely benefits of the programme and communicate this to all stakeholders.
- Management (and potentially selection) of multiple 3rd party suppliers.
- Lead and motivate a large team of project managers, business analysts and developers.
- Take overall responsibility for the budget; manage timescales, dependencies and risk.
- Ensure a strong focus on ROI throughout the programme.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous demonstrable experience of programme managing high profile complex programmes where there is a high degree of ambiguity and uncertainty around the final solution.
- Demonstrable track record of running and successfully delivering £10m + programmes with teams of up to 100 people.
- Previous experience of delivering high value online/web based customer interaction solutions.
- Pragmatic, can-do attitude with a strong focus on detail and delivery.
- Proven ability to work with the business to define programmes from an early stage and deliver successfully.
- Strong track record of programme management governance and methodologies. Ideally Prince and ITIL qualified.
- Knowledge/experience of Six Sigma an advantage.
- Strong leadership skills - able to manage large teams effectively.
- A strong influencer and clear creative and lateral thinker with strong commercial and business acumen. Willing and able to challenge at a board level if required.
- A capable negotiator and excellent communicator, both internally and with third parties.
You must be a UK / EU National or already be resident in the UK and have a current Work Permit.
