Business Analysts, step up to a Project Management role!
This FTSE 50 Company is undertaking a huge transformation programme and investing heavily in additional IT capabilities; they aim to transform how they interact with their customers and manage their business.
This strategic transformation programme will encompass both technology and customer-centric processes centred around initiatives such as CRM, Service Management and legacy system replacement. These programmes have created requirements for a number of junior project managers to assume responsibility for major work streams. They are specifically interested in highly motivated candidates who wish to take an upward step in their career.
Responsibilities
- Plan, co-ordinate and manage IT and business change projects.
- Responsible for the whole project lifecycle from initiation through to delivery to the business.
- Manage projects using AGILE based methods
- Management of stakeholders
- Responsible for either single projects or a portfolio of small projects.
- Assess and monitor risks, issues and change to ensure the project is delivered to time, cost and quality criteria.
- Team management (matrix and/or direct).
Skills and Attributes Required
- Ideal career opportunity for IT developers or business analysts who have gained some project leading or work stream management experience to step up to a full time Project Management role.
- Strong personality: positive, ambitious and personable manner, energetic and delivery focussed with a strong sense of team.
- Proven track record of contributing to IS based projects with values of £250K to c£3m in value.
- Good leadership skills: inclusive, communicative, open, honest and motivational.
- Understanding of business processes and issues.
- Effective stakeholder manager.
- Practical experience of Agile or Waterfall methods.
- Previous experience and/or qualified in Prince or similar methods is useful but not essential.
- Experience of CRM, Online, ERP or similar application areas would be an advantage.
- Strong intellect and ideally educated to degree level.
- Must have strong communication skills including good writing and listening abilities.
- Previous experience as a software developer or analyst would be an advantage.
You must be a UK / EU National or already be resident in the UK and have a current Work Permit.
Qualifying Questions
- Have you run IT workstreams/projects with values in excess of £100,000?
- Have you worked in projects using either Waterfall or Agile methods?
- Do you have experience as a developer, business analyst or project leader in areas such as CRM, ERP (particularly SAP), service management etc?
- Do these roles offer you a step up in your career and level of responsibility?
